Meet The Vanish Team
Mark Motyl is a seasoned professional whose career has spanned real estate, finance, and the creation of Vanish Home Theater, a pioneering venture in the world of home entertainment and interior design.
Mark began his career at Cushman & Wakefield in Miami where he became the youngest Cushman broker in the Southeast Region to qualify for the firm’s national sales meeting. In 1989, Mark earned the South Florida Business Journal's prestigious 'Commercial Real Estate Deal of the Year' award. Mark’s career in commercial real estate then led him to Boston where Mark led sales and marketing for three new office buildings built by Ladbrokes Coral.
Mark moved to New York in 1996 where he joined Jefferies' Convertible Bond Department. Mark went on to cover some of the firm’s top accounts, including T-Rowe Price, Citadel, and Man GLG, for 18 years.
In 2012, Mark built the first of three very notable luxury homes in Westport, CT. One of the homes, 66 Beachside Avenue, received a written offer in 2021 that, if accepted, would have made it the highest-priced sale of a new-build spec home in Westport's history. The offer was declined, and the home has continued to appreciate.
Mark's diverse career path paved the way for the founding of Vanish Home Theater in 2020. VMS builds high-end, customizable furniture that hides state-of-the-art audiovisual components and large motorized screens. This is a groundbreaking entertainment solution that addresses the aesthetic challenges posed by conventional TVs.
Mark's journey through various industries showcases a unique blend of vision, versatility, and an unwavering commitment to excellence, as reflected in his latest venture, Vanish Home Theater.
Dustin's extensive career spanning over two decades has been marked by his boundless creativity, encompassing the development of brands and even buildings, all driven by an unending wellspring of inspiration. Throughout his professional journey, he has consistently striven to forge profound connections between abstract concepts and tangible reality through the transformative power of design. Drawing upon his dual talents as a marketer and architect, he ingeniously fused artistic expression with utilitarian function, unflinchingly embracing challenges, and artfully reshaping discomfort into comfort.
Dustin's career has traversed a multitude of industries, including art, architecture, marketing, and finance, leading him on extraordinary adventures alongside renowned artists like James Turrell and Julian Schnabel. His multifaceted creative expertise in multimedia has attracted an impressive clientele, including heavyweights like Netflix, S&P Global, SoFi, MasterCard, Audi, Yale University, and numerous others. Notably, during his tenure at SoFi, Dustin spearheaded the strategic development of immersive experiences at SoFi Stadium, now a prominent venue for NFL games, major events, and brand activations.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Dustin is also an avid collector of distinctive modern furniture. His quest for one-of-a-kind pieces has inspired him to craft his own creations, ranging from innovative seating to exquisite sideboards and custom lighting fixtures. As both a designer and architect, he has undertaken a multitude of high-end residential projects, seamlessly integrated cutting-edge technology and bespoke furniture, reflecting his architectural finesse.
It comes as no surprise that when Dustin crossed paths with Mark and witnessed his vision for Vanish, their connection was instantaneous. With his visionary approach of redefining furniture as a form of entertainment, Dustin conceived truly unique units for Vanish. In his role as Partner and Head of Design at Vanish, Dustin has masterfully carved out a distinctive market niche, positioning Vanish as the epicenter of custom-made furniture and immersive cinema experiences.
